Today at school I did the summer learning journey and I coloured another picture. This time I did a NASA picture and it looked so cool I think it looked like the real thing it looked like it was taking off in real life. it was really fun doing this like last time. At school we have been learning about the summer learning journey. The summer learning journey has lots of activities for you to do. Today at school the year 5's got to do road patrol but you needed a permission form if you wanted to do it. when we did training for road patrol we got out on the road and stopped cars. It was so fun I can't wait until next term when I can start doing it after school.
EOTC week is a whole week when we to fun things. On the first day we went to Adrenaline Forest. The next day we went to Mega Air and went swimming at our school pool. We also went roller skating. The next day we went in to town and through the botanical gardens. On the last day of EOTC we went surfing on Sumner beach. I loved it and had a really good time and go so much time of school.
A few days ago we had athletics. It was so much fun. In shot put I got 3rd. Shot put is my favourite athletic sport. In athletics there are 5 sports. One of the sports are high jump. anther one is discus, there was also long jump and sprints another one is distance running and the last one is shot put.
Every year the Rotary club holds a festival of flowers for the local community. For the festival flowers we could pick stuff to do like a Lego model or painting and drawing and lots more.
I did a flower sketch and I think it was a really good drawing I think it is the best drawing I have ever done. Here is a picture.
In the Holiday I went to Hanmer Springs. With a group of people. It was so fun we stayed there for 3 days. Most of the parents went quad biking. And it was someones 60th birthday. We got to go to 2 parties.
Lots of my friends came to Hanmer too. When we were driving to Hanmer we took one of my friends with us. We saw so many sheep and cows and lambs, the lambs were tiny.
We do this thing at my school and it is called a cloze. So the cloze that we do is they give us a story with missing words in. They give us words that we have to use to fill in the gaps. This week's cloze was called 'Stung'. It was an easy one to do. Here it is
Today in buddy class we are planning for building a picture book house, that is in a picture book like Winnie-the-Pooh. The house is being built with a fridge box. With my buddies we are designing a nAsh house and a Pikachu house from Pokemon. We got this piece of paper that had two blank pages of paper stapled on to it and on the two blank pages is where we designed the houses.
At school every week we get a new quiz and we have to solve it in a week. If we get it right you get paper and write the answer on it. You put your answer in the container. Our class does a draw on Friday and if you get picked out then you get a prize.
For this week's quiz I want to see if you can get it. Here is the quiz.

For maths we have been doing Winnie the Pooh drawings by mapping co-ordinates, this is what it looks like.This is not mine but this is what it looks like when it is done.
Mine is like half way done. I'm at the face bit that took 2 days for me.
On Thursday the 5 of August we went to rugby zones. We had 6 games that were 5 min each way. I don't know how many games we won or lost. The last 3 games were friendly games, so it did not matter if we lost or not. We won the tournament and made it to centrals for rugby. Centrals are in three weeks. Every Wednesday for 3 weeks we will have rugby training for Centrals. We did really good. It is my first time going to rugby zones. Our rugby coach's name is Zac.
Every day at the end off the day we do topic. For topic we do paper maches. It is fun to do them.

Fire dispersal
Fire dispersals are when seeds are in the ground but they are not growing. The seeds have to wait for a fire to happen so the adult trees burn and the new seeds can grow into a new tree and the process happens over and over again.

Today I went on art colouring book. And I made big Ben so first you start out with a blank big Ben and colour it in. and I made this.

Photosynthesis is how plants eat and make food. They need light energy, carbon dioxide and water. All that is what plants need to make there own food. Water comes from the dirt and the soil and then the water goes in the roots and chlorophyll that makes the leaves on the plants go green. When ever you breathe out carbon dioxide comes out when plants create their food they release oxygen/
